I snagged it at 395 usd, which isn't cheap by any means, but neither overly expensive if you compare with eBay, for a full original complete. No box, tho, obviously.

It's fucking awesome, m8. It dwarves all my other figures except the Tsukuda Alien from 1984 and a Skibidi Toilet bootleg giant.
Even my girlfriend, who can't care less about my toys, said it looks "dope as fuck".

Fuck, that's steep. But If you've been after it for a long time, if you know you'll have a kick every time you look at it from the other corner of the room and most importantly if you could afford it, kudos to you anon.
I'd love to own one, but it didn't came out in Spain or even in Europe as far as I know and I'd preffer to spend that amount in something else.

Thanks m8.
Btw, I'm mexican, my dude.

Was eyeballing these recently. Did you get any of the ninja themed bad guys? How's the plastic quality feel/accessory management in their hands and stored on the figure?
I got a few of the Strike Force Alpha fellas, and visually they're great but the plastic isn't too choice. It's cool they tried to do them with customization in mind, but the limbs are primarily PVC plastic which feels a bit gummy. And it does lend to the arms especially feeling very loose and fidgety, 3 of the 5 I got had that issue. The accessories on those also feels very brittle. Kind of hoping they just go for the classic Joe construction at some point. Have thought about just swapping the arms with some vintage ones, which is a shame as the wrist swivel is a huge plus for new O-ring figures.

They feel the closest to ARAH Joes just with swivel wrists, not like Strike Force Alpha or Heavy Armor Toys. Now the T-bars have a problem factory side but they're sorting out and getting replacement ones to customers. I just swapped mine out with ones from old Joes (some Spy troops era ones too) and they work perfectly now. Weapons are like Marauder's early stuff.

They're neck and neck with the Roboskull O'ring (who shares tooling with one of the Callsign; Longbow 1980s set cold war and friends) for quality.

arm joints are great and don't have that looseness in the shoulder that a few of the Strike Force Alpha has. And they feel like a proper ARAH Joe does to me. Just with a 21st century gear aesthetic.

Had a long week at work and so it’s nice for it to finally be the weekend so I can relax and mess around with some cool toys. Post your recent hauls or figures you maybe messed around with and posed today. Feel free to “review” your figures as I have as well.
For my show and tell, I finished my Indiana Jones Adventure Series collection. The final figure I needed was Kazim. Surprisingly enough, he’s hard to come by in the U.S. as a limited release Target exclusive that went clearance early on, he’s been vacant since. I had to pay up for him; but the rest of the figures I was able to grab on discount at some point or another. Very glad I was finally able to finish it.
Some thoughts:
Overall pretty good collection but missing many “layup” figures such as Mola Ram, Willie Scott, any Crystal Skull figure, Sallah from LC, Col Diedrich, Col Vogel, Cairo Swordsman, etc.
Another issue I have with the set is that non standardization of box sizes. Primarily the double Brody-Belloq pack. It’s way too wide and looks strange next to the others. The “deluxe” ROTLA Indy is also a large box, but at least there is a reason for it. The double pack could have been sold as seperate figures.
My biggest complaint, which is kind of mind boggling is that we are missing the Antikythera itself, the main mcguffin from DOD. Why didn’t it come with DOD Indy? I have no Idea, Hasbro.
I’d give this a 7/10. Pretty good, but definitely room for improvement.
Cheers!

I like GI Joe way more than Transformers, but I think the problem is trying to inject new fans is difficult. It isn't the 60s/70s/80s/90s anymore. Its hard to market anything with guns/war/military/etc especially as a toyline that would still largely be aimed at kids and even more especially with how anti-military, anti-veterans, anti-police, anti-guns America (and more and more the west in general) is now.

Pretty much every attempt at getting GI Joe into the mainstream has been a failure to launch over the years. The cartoons, the movies, the comics, etc, none of the modern stuff has really stuck.

On top of that, the average person probably can't even name any Joe characters other than Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, whereas for Transformers people can probably easily rattle off characters like Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, and maybe some more just by pop culture osmosis, and those characters are probably 10x more well known than SE and SS.

>but due to DEI garbage
Are you stupid?

GI Joe was THE DEI garbage property of the 80s. The show had black, mexican, indian, japanese, and chinese as the main characters. The comic was even MORE inclusive, making other minority characters more prominent. Both series had females kicking ass and taking names.

The main villains were all white.

GI Joe routinely had them teaming up with other cultures, not bad mouthing them, and almost always that other culture saved the day. The comic even talked shit about nationalism and the military.

Why GI Joe isn't THE premier SJW show, or at least more popular due to this AND other reasons (like Call of Duty and other FPSes being hugely popular) is solely because Hasbro are more stupider than you.

I use ebay a lot for my gunpla and Star Wars collection. I notice some new type of retard scam. You order something but the retard seller never send it. He even gives you a tracking number that never moves. What you lose is time by wasting weeks to get a refund from ebay. Some people just want to see the world burn.

>Not moving tracking numbers
>>10963984
>even gives you a tracking number
What this means is that the Seller purchases a mailing label from EB; THAT generates the tracking number.

EB sends you the bullshit meaningless email telling you that "your item has shipped" when it might not even been boxed up.

Allegedly they penalize sellers for (supposedly) one of two things: (a) not shipping within XX days of your credit card/PP account being charged or (b) not shipping within XX days of SELLER buying the label.

However, most Storefronts have learned that buying their postage gives you lax oversight, so they do that. I bought two used loosed toys from some Mom seller that she posted and then lost track of it, she was nice and I would prefer the toys over the refund so I gave her plenty of time, but in the meantime the stupid site kept saying they were shipped to me, when in fact they weren't. About three months later, after pestering her more in the second and third month and politely asking her to make sure she looked (it ran over the holidays so I cut her slack between Black Friday and Christmas, but once January rolled around I said 'please confirm you have them within ten days' then followed that up in twenty, and finally asked her to refund the full amount and gave her a neutral review that just said I never got the items but she refunded the sale price/fees.

>>10964258
You take a picture of the item, the box, etc. and make a claim. I got a damaged package which damaged the box - since this was a statute, I do want the box for moving but also if I ever re-sell it, and a damaged box reduced the resale value, so I asked for a partial discount and got the full amount refunded, because the Seller ended up making a claim to the post office for the entire amount.

>customers who ask questions are trouble/waste of time?
Some sellers are assholes, you can tell easily and right away. I look at their feedback. There's nothing that only exists as a one of a kind that is forcing me to deal with an Asshole Tool of a seller.

>>10964685
>already answered in the item description
When I post loose toys, I always make sure to pose them in multiple angles, and state that none of the joints are loose or tight, etc. Five times out of ten, some anons post one picture, maybe two. Many of them pose them on a table or leaning against a wall.

Two of my common, copypasta questions is 'will this stand by itself if you put it on a shelf without leaning it against something' and 'how are the joints, too loose? too tight? will it articulate as intended from the factory?'

I often get wives or mom's telling me they will check with their 'husband/boyfriend/children' and confirm some of my questions, that's fine, but I've also had an asshole block me as being 'too much of a hassle' who will probably give me a negative review' or 'make a claim against me.'

Which is bullshit, I wouldn't bid on a toy with loose joints so I would never had been able to review it, and tight joints at least tells me I will need to warm up the toy to get it to work. I just want to know what I am bidding on in comparison to the universe of what's out there.

Again, there's rarely such a thing as a rare one of a kind item that I have to put up with nonsense from a seller who wants to just unload garbage he won't dump on a thrift store, garage sale or flea market.

Honestly though considering what Revoltech have done recently with having the guy making My Hero customs now make Ochaco, and Shiuesha givng Toyotaro the job of doing DB after the success of his fan-ga, I wouldn't be suprised Bandai using whatever talent is out there rather than their inhouse sculptors. It's probably cheaper as well since these guys have no track record and probably work for peanuts.

Why are so many WFM releases p-bandai? Isn't this supposed to be the most popular and successful Gundam brand in years? You'd think they would be pumping out all sorts of AD Stella MS for general retail. So far the only actual general retail releases are the first Aerial, Guel's Dilanza, and the literally who Demi Barding

Like I said I think they fucked up by releasing a blank Aerial first, people just went for the HG to get one with Permet lines and everything else is going to P-Bandai for the initial release underperforming.

>let's release a protagonist gundam with the signature flashy lights turned OFF
There's no explanation of this decision that isn't frustrating or inconvenient to the intended consumer. It's like they botched a general release just so they don't spoil a gimmick meant to be revealed in the second half of the first episode of the fucking show because the story is so very important unlike the toys they are trying to sell.

For that price point I thought this figure would be loaded with coral effect parts or at least the energy sword she waves around, buying new RD's are getting harder and harder to justify.

It's actually kinda fucking amazing how well Yamato's old VF19F has aged, the Kai reissue from Arcadia is cool and all but the 19F (and by extension the 19S since it's just the same figure with extra lasers and yellow trim) is like everything I wish the Arcadia YF19 would be like, without the frustrating parts.

In fact so many of the worst aspects of the YF19 Arcadia just end up being side effect of adapting the VF19's underlying chassis to the YF's particular aesthetics, resulting in places where it looks more unsightly on the YF (fatter leading lip on the intakes, obvious exposed extension of the leg when viewed from the side, a kinda meaningless flap hatch for the YF that on the VF is part of a cool battroid access hatch gimmick...). I get why they would do that, reusing much of the existing tooling would be financially wise and it still runs circles around the old original Yamato YF19... but I'm a lot more a fan of how it plays out with the M7 Excaliburs. Joints are rather slippery tho, but hey the Yammy era Excalibur is like 10 years old? It's fine.

You're making zero sense. Please stop acting like an emotional teenager.

AC fans are on average older than Gundam fans and won't care about kiddie effect parts.

Mezco seems to be mostly disliked here, it also could have its own general but never has. I’ve always thought most of their figures look pretty good, I still think they have the best looking classic Superman. Sometimes the cloth seems a little too big, but most of the time it’s not that bad.

I am new to Mezco but bought your pic'd Superman and their newest Recovery suit.

The cloth outfits really work for some figures, then really don't for others. Sometimes their faces can look dusty or powdery.

I'm on the Mezco train and really want to get their Reeves SM and their golden age BM.

Mezco was at the cutting edge 7 years ago with DKR Batman being a big deal, but quickly rested on that and tried to go against what made that figure popular by doing the "Mezflair" redesigns with more lines and raised areas, basically attempting to do movie-esque costumes. The problem is that the scale didn't allow for it,
A bunch of Chinese companies have taken the cloth figure angle and done it better, and cheaper. They managed to actually downscale Hot Toys type high end 1/6 figures with articulation.
Right now Mezco seems to have retreated into doing 60's looks. Which is ok but not quite what I wanted either. I'd prefer the 90's-2000's take on the classic looks where the colors/style is a bit more dynamic(think Bagley Spider-man vs John Romita)- I'm sure there's a market for the 60's stuff but it just makes them feel more like Mego.

mezco occasionally makes really good stuff
their conan and tmnt are fantastic
green and white ranger are definitely the best in the scale
the dick tracey they are doing looks like it stepped right off the pages
ive heard good things about their popeye too
they seem to falter with capeshit though, and unfortunately, that is most of their output

they're marvel legends with soft goods and accessories
their articulation really seems to be the worst,
the amazing spiderman mezco figure doesn't even have basic stuff like butterfly joints, toe-joints, or even an ankle pivot.
i wouldn't say i LOVE them but i think they're alright and they do leave alot to be desired.
Their scaling also isn't that good with the "one:12" being a little misleading.
they're not 1/12, not even oversized 1/12 like ML closer to 1/10 in alot of cases with normal 6" characters being 6.5" inches
but their biggest and i do mean biggest issue are their white human heads. just look at (again) the amazing spiderman...
ew.

having been to the clothes toys general, i've learned to stay away from most mezco wannabes, thanks to the bodies being so fragile and also because most of use smaller bodies for 1:12. I like for them to blend in with my other lines, like ML, Mafex, Mezco, etc.

And since a lot of them are Chinese, they're waaay too pricey, especially considering the clothes can look as bad as NECA's MEGO wannabe figures
